Jared Jaffee After nearly eight hours of final table action, he became the winner of the World Poker Tour (WPT) Choctaw 2023 Main Event and claimed his first Two WPT champions. Jaffee earned $400,700 to win and a seat at the $10,000 WPT Championship in December.
The champion took a 3:1 chip lead and made a successful call to dominate him for a short time.
“Ten years is a long time,” Jaffee said in an interview with our colleagues after the PokerNews win. “The first time was so surreal because it was my first big game and I could hardly believe it happened. Now I can’t believe it took ten years to do it again.”
It feels different now, and so does the win’s impact on Jaffee’s poker career.
“I feel like I was ecstatic with my first win in 2013, and this time it’s more about solidifying my career and everything I’ve fought for, getting third ( $192,000) and Bin Weng fourth ($143,000), Rusty Farrin ($107,000) and two-time WPT champion Erkut Yilmaz strong>Third Place> ($81,700) Six players made it to the final table.
The tournament drew 612 entrants to the Choctaw Casino in Durant, Oklahoma and the resort. Seventy-eight players shared a $2,142,000 prize pool.
With this win, Jared Jaffee continues to make his mark on the poker world and positions himself as one of the preeminent players in poker today. Now His goal is to prepare for the challenge of the $10,000 WPT Championship and once again strive for glory.
